Running water holes and people camping along the river are represented in this painting. As a kid going on camping trips in the Pilbara were some of my favourite times and is one of the many reasons I feel so lucky to live in this beautiful place. The landscape here is like no where else in the world. Dry and hot for half the year but afternoon showers and thunderstorms top up the water holes and rivers during the wetter months. These become a playground for the people who live and visit her. The landscape gives me endless inspiration for my paintings.
